UNIVERSITY HEALTH SERVICES

The University Health Services (UHS) is presently headed by a Director with a full complement of Medical and Health Staff.  It offers a whole range of services including general outpatient care, maternal and child welfare services, family planning, dental and laboratory services as well as Environmental Sanitation of the University Campus.

The general policy decisions are taken by the University Health Services Management Committee, which is widely representative of the University Campus. Read more......

UNIVERSITY LIBRARY
The University Library Services Department was established in March, 1984 to cater for the teaching and research work of the University.  The Library has since then been growing steadily to help the University to accomplish its aims and objectives. Read more......

AUDIO VISUAL CENTRE
The Audio Visual Centre was established in July, 1985 as a teaching support center with a responsibility to service all the academic departments of the University, using modern instructional facilities available to improve teaching and learning process.

DIRECT LABOUR UNIT (DLU)

THE SECURITY DIVISION
The division is headed by a Director of Security Services (DSS). Other members of staff includes: Chief Security Officer (CSO), Deputy CSO, Principal Security Officer, Security Supervisors, Assistant Security Supervisors, Senior Patrolmen and Patrolmen. Read more......

UNIVERSITY CONSULTANCY SERVICES UNIT (FUTMIN CONSULT)
The FUTMIN CONSULT is headed by a Director who is directly responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.  Broadly the FUTMIN CONSULT is aimed at harnessing the existing intellectual potentiality on the campus to bring town and gown together such that funds are generated to supplement the dwindling resources of the University. WORKS AND MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
The University Works and Maintenance Department handles the maintenance of University properties. The staffing of the department consists of Engineers (Electrical and Civil) Builders, Quantity Surveyor,, Technical Officers, Technicians, Drivers, Craftsmen and supporting Administrative staff.

The functions of the department include undertaking the maintenance of buildings, engineering projects, and other physical infrastructures. Other duties of the department are maintenance of vehicles, landscaping, preparation of estimates for maintenance purposes, water supply and minor construction works.  The department also controls vehicles in the pool.

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE CENTRE

The main activities of the Centre are purchase, repair and maintenance of Teaching/Research, Office and General equipment and documentation of these for periodical auditing by NUC.

PHYSICAL PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT UNIT (PPDU)
The Physical Planning and Development Unit has the responsibility of developing master-plan for physical development of the University, setting out guidelines and standards of cost, space and procedure for key design and construction aspects of projects. It is also responsible for the monitoring and control of all physical development activities such that they comply strictly with University master-plan.

ACADEMIC PLANNING UNIT (APU)
The Academic Planning Unit (APU) is an integral part of and under the Office of the Vice Chancellor. Its establishment in the early eighties was informed by the academic functions/administrative structure that would guide the orderly academic development of the University in the performance of its statutory functions of teaching, research and development as well as public service.
