Trade Fair Complex, Minna, Niger State.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Musbau Adewumi Akanji, FAS, FNSBMB, while speaking at the fair said the theme of the fair is very apt and timely considering the dwindling foreign exchange and recession the country is experiencing, adding that there is need for every individual and organization to begin to patronize made in Nigeria products.

Prof. Akanji said the trade fair is an avenue for the exchange of ideas, to showcase new discoveries and innovations which will in turn attract investors which is why the University always looks forward to exhibition of this nature.

The VC expressed appreciation to the NCCIMA for allowing FUT, Minna to have this special day, saying that for a country to be great, we all need to look inward, produce and use our own products.

He revealed that FUT, Minna has some of the best brains in technology and innovations which has allowed the University to win several awards locally and internationally. He further disclosed that such researches also led to collaborations with international and local bodies, adding that some of the innovations were on display at the fair.

The don urged Niger State and the private sector to look at ways these innovations would be useful to them in their various fields.

The Second Deputy President NACCIMA, Dr. (Mrs.) Bisi Adeniyi while giving her remarks said they are proud of FUT, Minna and its achievements.

She expressed hope that the University’s participation at the fair would enhance the relationship between FUT, Minna and the state in the area of technological innovations.

Some of the inventions and products displayed at FUT, Minna stand include: Multi crop thresher, Polymer Interlock from waste plastic bottles, Bioethano-fuelled stove, Auto Aqua, Gold nano-particles for drug delivery application, Nano clay based filter for waste water treatment, Multiple operator enabled SIM, fuelless generator amongst others.


To become a world class and Nigeria's leading University recognized for it s excellence in capacity building and service delivery.


As a specialized University we are committed to the training of skilled and innovative work-force that would transform Nigeria's natural resources into goods and services driven by entrepreneurship and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), to positively affect the economy and thus the quality of life of her people.
