The Education Committee of Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) has lauded the Department of Estate Management and Valuation of the Federal University of Technology, Minna for meeting up to standard.

The commendation was given on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 during an exit visit at the VC’s Conference Room at the Main Campus.

Chairman of the team, Dr. Bamidele Ogunleye from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, said their visit to the institution was for the accreditation of Postgraduate Diploma in Estate Management and Valuation of the School of Environmental Technology (SET).

Giving highlights from the report which will be submitted to the national council of NIESV, the Chairman commended the philosophy and objective of the programme and the curriculum which he said is generally acceptable and provides insight into the several core and allied areas of the profession.

Prof. Ogunleye said it was worthy to observe that students dissertation are subjected to anti-plagiarism test. He also praised the VC for the University’s admission requirements, staff development, ICT Centre and studio.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Musbau Adewumi Akanji FNSBMB, FAS, thanked the team for their sacrifice and assured them that all the areas that need improvement would be worked upon to improve delivery.
