Convocation Ceremony and 35th Founder’s Day for the conferment of First Degrees, Post Graduate Diplomas, Higher Degrees and Prizes to its graduands on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Main Campus, Gidan Kwano.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily

Wednesday, 31st January, 2018 
Convocation Lecture
Lecturer: Prof. Sagay Itsejuwa Esanjumi, SAN (Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption) 
Topic:  Nigeria: The Travails of an Animal Kingdom
Venue: Caverton Lecture Theatre, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano 
Time: 3:00 p.m.

Thursday, 1st February, 2018
Conferment of First Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas and Higher Degrees 
Venue: Suleimanu Kumo Convocation Square, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano 
Time: 10:00 a.m.

INFORMATION TO GRADUANDS

All graduands are required to note the following requirements/conditions for the convocation ceremony:

i. Amounts to be paid.

First Degree

Order of Proceedings                - N2,000.00
Academic Scroll                        - N2,000.00
Academic Gown                        - N2,000.00
Certificate                                   - N5,000.00

M.Eng/M.Tech/PGD

Order of Proceedings              - N2,000.00
Academic Scroll                       - N2,000.00
Academic Gown                      - N5,000.00
Certificate                                - N5,000.00
Alumni Fee                              - N2,000.00

PhD

Order of Proceedings               - N2,000.00
Academic Scroll                        - N2,000.00
Purchase of Academic Gown - N30,000.00
Certificate                                 - N5,000.00
Alumni Fee                               - N2,000.00

ii. All payments must be made into the University Account number 3098786009 with First Bank Plc, Minna (Account Name: FUT Micro-Finance Bank).
iii. Graduands must be physically present at the ceremony to receive their certificates and prizes as the case may be.
iv. Graduands are expected to present the following items to enable them collect their original certificates immediately after the Convocation Ceremony:
       a. The original statement of results earlier issued to them by the University.
       b. Final year clearance form duly signed by all concerned.
       c. Final year identity card or letter of identification from Student Affairs Division.
v. Invitation cards, Academic gowns and Order of Proceedings are to be collected from Secretaries of the respective Schools of the Graduands from Monday, 29th January to Wednesday, 31st January, 2018.
vi. Issued Academic Gowns must be returned to the School Secretaries immediately after the ceremony before the collection of original certificates.
vii. There will be a surcharge for any damaged Academic Gown.

SECURITY
Graduands and the general public should please note the following:
1. University Security personnel will direct guests to the designated parking lots.
2. Luggage and bags are not allowed into the Convocation Square Arena.
3. Hawkers and vendors of any item will not be allowed around the Convocation Square.
4. Photographers who are interested in the coverage of the Convocation should register with the University Information and Publications Unit from Monday 29th to Wednesday 31st January, 2018.

NOTE:

Graduands will not be allowed into the Convocation Square after 9:30 a.m.
