FGTC, KUTA PAYS COURTESY TO FUTMINNA

 

Speaking during the visit, the Principal of the College, Mallam Umaru Saidu congratulated the Vice-Chancellor for a successful Convocation Ceremony and that the College is very proud to be associated with the University’s laudable academic achievements.

He said the FSTC, Kuta is one of the nine Federal Technical Colleges established in 1988 by the Federal Government as a purely technical college as part of government policy to stimulate technological growth in the country.

Mall. Saidu said, the aim of visiting was to appeal to the VC to help upgrade some of its skill acquisition centres in the College, the expansion of the College bakery where they make bread for the student consumption and also the upgrading and equipping of the School’s E-library, ICT Centre, FM Station and laboratories.

The Principal thanked the VC for the warm reception and hoped that the University will assist in their desire to improve the standard of education in the College.

Responding, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Yahaya Iyaka, who received them on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof Abdullahi Bala, fsssn, welcomed the team and congratulated them for their achievements and hoped that they continue to sustain and maintain the standards.

Prof. Iyaka further stated that, the Management will ensure that the College gets adequately acquainted with the admission process of the University, adding that the Principal should ensure that he comes up with an explicit detailed request of what that they want. He assured them that all their request will be conveyed to the Vice-Chancellor.
