The former Niger Tornadoes Football Club player stated that all logistics concerning travelling arrangements, accreditation of athletes, payment of athletes and officials’ allowances have been concluded for the institution to participate in the games.

He stated that FUT, Minna participation at the forthcoming NUGA preliminaries would send a message to the rest of the world that all is well in FUT, Minna, especially to the NUGA Council who had doubted the University’s participation at the games because of the unfortunate students’ unrest.

Prof. Ijaiya expressed satisfaction with the quality of athletes selected by the coaches for the event, stating that the athletes have all what it takes to pick all the available tickets for the main NUGA.

He further applauded the University Management for providing the enabling environment for sporting activities to strive through constant financial support which has necessitated the procurement of some state-of-the-art-facilities for the University.
