HRH, Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar Rtd, CFR, the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers has commended the Management of the University for showing commitment to its mandate of teaching, research and community services.
The Etsu Nupe made the commendation on Friday, March 31, 2017 at his Wadata Palace, Bida when the Registrar of the University Mrs. Victoria Nnawo. Kolo accompanied by members of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the 2017 62nd Business Meeting of the Association of Registrars’ of Nigerian Universities (ARNU) paid him a courtesy visit to brief him about the upcoming event and the LOC’s plan to bring members of ARNU to pay him homage.
The Royal father, who was full of praises for the University Management for its desire to make the University a better institution, assured the Registrar of his support and cooperation to the University and prayed for a successful hosting of the event.
Earlier in her address, the Registrar informed the Etsu Nupe that the association normally rotates its meetings among member institutions and that it was at the last meeting that FUT, Minna was given the right to host the 62nd Business Meeting scheduled for 2nd - 6th May, 2017.
The association according to her uses the forum to share ideas and challenges in the discharge of their day-to-day duties in their various institutions.
She used the opportunity to thank the Royal father for all his fatherly advice to the University and further solicited for his support, blessings and cooperation.
