FUTMinna Management Hails Prof. Akanji At 64FUTMinna

The Management team of the Federal University of Technology, Minna led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Oluwole Olakanmi Morenikeji has congratulated the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Musbau Adewumi Akanji, FNSBMB, FAS, as he turns 64 years.

The brief event took place on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Senate Building, Main Campus.

Prof. Morenikeji who spoke on behalf of other Principal Officers said the purpose of the visit was to felicitate with the Vice-Chancellor and his family members on the occasion of his 64th birthday anniversary.

While commending the VC on how he has applied wisdom in the running of the University, the DVC Academic made reference to Psalm 90 of the Holy Bible which says that “teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom”. He went further to state that the University Management and staff have seen that wisdom in Prof. Akanji’s conduct in the running of the University’s affairs which has resulted in positive development.

“We as members of your formidable Management team, we have every reason to celebrate with you because no day is given, rather each day is a bonus”, Prof. Morenikeji disclosed.

He prayed that the Almighty God would grant the Vice-Chancellor long life and more strength to carry on the good work he is doing in the University.

Responding, the VC, Prof. Akanji expressed gratitude to his Management team for making out time to felicitate with him.

The VC further commended them for the support, friendship, love and loyalty shown to him since his assumption of duty. He assured them that he would do everything possible within his power to maintain the relationship and looked forward to working with them again in the future.
